The projects, between <10m and 100+ m, are built in steel, wood, aluminium and composite. Varying from tenders, chase boats and cruisers to yachts, explorers and superyachts. The majority of our projects are new builds, but we also work on projects in refits of existing yachts, conversions from commercial ships to explorer yachts and re-builds of classic yachts.

Naval Architecture
A Naval Architecture project at Studio Delta brings a design concept to a level of technical development suitable for building, by using modern and tested methods. Based on a general review of the concept, a strategy will be chosen to lift the project to a suitable standard for construction.
Analyses are made for hullform design, weights, resistance analysis and propulsion design, flag and class requirements and construction. But it is the integral approach of the various analyses and feasibility reviews that sets the Studio apart. Based on this integral approach and attention to the interactivity of the different divisions the complete project will be supplied at a high level of quality and within time.

Structural design & engineering
Studio Delta excells in the design of both steel, aluminium and composite hull constructions. We are experienced in projects from sturdy displacement superyachts to light weighted chaseboats.
Requirements on speed and use, like the capability for sailing in light ice or making ocean crossings to special destinations, like Artic regions or ecologically sensitive areas are realized in the structural plan.

Technical outfitting
The installation preparation of essential elements on board such as: anchor winches, cranes, doors, hatches, bow and stern thrusters , life raft and rescue boat arrangements. The technical outfitting of essential elements requires an integral approach, taking into account ergonomics, design and class rules.
Exterior deck outfitting
Exterior deck outfitting, placing components of interest on the outside decks. Taking into account the exterior design and structural requirements of the yacht. Some of the items that are considered are hatches, deck lockers, ventilation lockers, deck wash lockers, filling stations, sunscreens, Jacuzzi and outside bar. A subject that has received much more attention lately, and contributes largely to the user-friendliness of the yacht.
Consultancy
As a consultant we provide naval architecture services in the field of Refits and New builds, we can advise you or provide a second opinion. We have extensive experience in hull extensions, superstructure updates and upgrades in installations such as stabilizer conversions to zero-speed installations. Most of the consultancy projects were Super Yacht refit projects. With extensive experience in working as a consultant for Dutch and international yards and owner representation teams, we work flexible, objective and position ourselves a reliable business partner.
