Scyllias, a hybrid-powered catamaran with a semi-submersible pod, is the result of a graduation project with Industrial Design Engineering student Pieter Dankers, Dankers Creative Studio, with Studio Delta providing the Naval Architecture.

The unique concept of Scyllias is that it combines the possibility of exploring the underwater world with the functionality of a fast tender. Much more than other recreational submarines this allows to explore more area with the yacht remaining stationary.
Scyllias is designed to use a tender on 100+ m yachts. The concept is laid out with dimensions that will match the regular tender bays on a 100+ m yachts. With that, Scyllias is the ultimate addition on the traditional fleet of tenders.

The Scyllias design concept won in the category ‘Professional Concept Mobility’ of the iF Design Award 2016.
