Studio Delta Design and Naval Architecture Services

Concept Design
We make concept designs for both motor and sailing yachts in any desired length.
This includes styling and layout design, where the wishes of the customer are developed within the feasibility of the desired type of yacht and the most recent international regulations.
Also during the concept design the basic Naval Architectures requirements are indicatively taken into account.

Technical evaluation
Following the concept design of an external stylist or our own design, we will evaluate the requirements on technical feasibility in the field of design parameters, performance requirements, weight budgeting and stability.
Also we can write technical specifications which can be used for tenders to yards.

Main design
The concept design or predesign is developed by means of tested methods to hull design, interior design and propulsion design.
For motor yachts an analysis will be made on propulsion possibilities, after which the layout and implementation will be designed.
For sailing yachts the sailplan will be precisely developed to propulsion and balance requirements. Hereby the basic design criteria are the most important decision factors on the design parameters.
For all kind of vessels, possibly in cooperation with specialists, Studio Delta takes care of the main construction design. Focused on the type of vessel the ideal construction will be developed within the requirements on cost and weight.

Consultancy
For a long time Studio Delta has provided consultancy services in the field of refits, construction and propulsion.
For motor yachts basic analyses can be made for the mechanical propulsion.
For sailing yachts sailplan analyses can be made and advise may be given on new sailplans for existing yachts.

Engineering
In the field of construction and interior Studio Delta takes care of detail drawings which can be directly developed into cutting files useful for the workshop.
